The Snakehandlers formed out of the underground but richly populated L.A. “Cowboy Rock” scene in late 2001. Bryson Jones and drummer Dave Raven met in the house band at the famed Hollywood club Sweethearts of the Rodeo.
The band bonded over a love of twisting classic country songs to their limits. Country, rockabilly, blues and rock collide in their own loud version of “Cosmic American Music”—with one important difference: it ain’t 1968 anymore.
Dave Raven can play standing up, if called upon to do so.
